Tips for Writing a Real Estate Blog

What are the best tips for writing a real estate blog? There are many good tips you can use. Make sure that you know what your readers want. Show your human side with your feelings about topics, with humor, and with your knowledge of your topics. Remember you are marketing yourself and your expertise as a real estate agent.

Blogs catch the attention of people because they are written by everyday people like them. Writing a blog lets you share your professional knowledge, but also your opinions, humor, ideas, and the things that make you who you are as an individual. If you feel strongly about a specific topic, put that feeling in your blog. This is what makes your blog interesting to readers.

Do not bring in too many ideas in one article. You want to cover maybe one or two points in your articles so they will be easy to understand for the average reader. That is your prospective client, write for them. Use topics of interest in today’s real estate market.

Be sure that the blog posts that you write will be interesting to your readers. You have to dedicate a certain amount of time to your blog in order to make at least two posts a week to give your readers something new to read about and learn. The first line of your article should catch the attention of your readers. The title should be intriguing as well.

Keep your real estate blog writing short, informative, and easy to understand. The average blog visitor spends between 2-3 minutes viewing a site. Keep articles on point and not over 300-500 words. Be sure the information is useful for the type of visitor that will be reading your blog. If you want repeat visitors it is important to capture their interest.

The title of your article should catch your reader right away. Use the first line of your article to ask a question that will require your reader to answer, thus also read the rest of your article. You want to have interesting content. It should be up to date and pertinent to the issues of real estate in today’s market. This will make your readers want to come back.
